About The Event
Thanksgiving, Art & Gratitude
Thanksgiving is about gratitude, family, community and coming together—the same spirit behind Paint Sip Socialize.
In 1894, Black artist Henry Ossawa Tanner painted The Thankful Poor, a beautiful work centered on faith, gratitude and Black family life.
November 26 is also the birthday of renowned Black artist Kara Walker, whose work explores Black history, identity and the American South.
Atlanta has a powerful Black art legacy, from Hale Woodruff and Atlanta University to the generations of Black creatives shaping the city today.
Most of all, WE ARE THANKFUL FOR YOU! Thank you for 9 amazing years of supporting Paint Sip Socialize, celebrating with us and allowing us to be part of your memories.
